From the inception and conception of JAOVI, its establishment was rooted from its vision to take part and contribute in the modernization of the AFP. Since 2007 to date, JOAVI had brought and invited to the country a handful of industry-leader organizations from the defense industry of various countries to present products and technologies to, and discuss and exchange understanding and operational knowledge and strategies with the Department of National Defense and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.  ​

Through the years JOAVI, while working with the DND, AFP, and its proponents, has deeply evolved to sincerely understand where the AFP is at and where it desires to be-at a reasonable par with its ASEAN counterparts. JOAVI understands very well what the AFP needs to bridge the capability and equipage gap; JOAVI can facilitate to fill this gap. JOAVI believes that our vast network of defense partners render the best solution for the modernization of the AFP, as our global partners understand the situation of the Filipino troops, not just theoretically but literally. JOAVI’s network can provide solutions that will address the command and control issues of the AFP in all of its branches and consolidate it to act as one unified command, should it need be.​

One of the solutions in mind shall integrate capabilities to implement the Coast Watch South and of the entire 36,289 kilometers coastline of the country. Our modernization solutions for the AFP will employ capabilities not just for combat operations but to cut down multi-billion dollar coastline smuggling activities and to rapidly respond and act in disaster situations, particularly in far flung areas. JOAVI believes that modernizing the AFP will have a positive effect on the social and political stability, and economic progress of the country; an effect that shall contribute to the Philippines’ national development.
