In the very early part of 2007, a reading of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) 15-year modernization program-also known as Republic Act NR 7898-had caught the inquisitive mind of the company’s founders. This Republic Act was crafted to deliver our AFP to an updated and modernized level; where it shall acquire and attain abilities and capabilities that would allow our military might to serve its constitutional mandate to defend, protect, and preserve the sovereignty and patrimony of the Republic of the Philippines. Unfortunately, an obvious and sad truth revealed that after more than 21 years, from conception to inception of the said Law, the Filipino Soldiers are yet to receive the true benefit of the more than 300-billion peso legislated-program. ​

This sad realization had generated a vision and a felt-need, which conceived the company called JOAVIPHILIPPINES COPORATION (JOAVI)-established and duly registered with the Security and Exchange Commission as a private corporation on May 26, 2008.  JOAVI’s founders believe that this Law or intention should be revived to give life to our ailing military might, which was once one of the strongest military in Asia during 1950's to 1970's.

The company’s founder observed that there is not a noticeable activity and presence of prominent global defense companies in the Philippines-considering the battle-tested technologies and capabilities of such known providers. With such insight, JOAVI anchored its vision of providing solution or solutions that would respond to the modernization intention and or requirements of the AFP. Thus, JOAVI’s journey in search of globally reputable providers began. Ultimately, JOAVI was appointed as Philippine representative of major defense companies from all over the world.
