In the 3rd quarter of 2007, the Department of Budget and Management Procurement Service published a public bidding announcement on broadsheet for the supply and delivery of 60mm and 81mm Mortar ammunition for the AFP. These were the very first ammunition tender that the author of JOAVI participated in on behalf of an a foreign-partner firm, which it subsequently won and successfully delivered in the 1st quarter of 2008 via a chartered 747-400 cargo plane. Likewise, it was the first mortar ammunition acquisition project of the AFP under the Reformed Procurement Law (R.A. 9184) of the Philippines. This was the company’s proving ground and the beginning of its strong presence and milestone in public tenders for the supply and delivery of various ammunitions to the Armed Forces of the Philippines​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​. ​​​​​​​

To date, JOAVIPHILIPPINES CORPORATION is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, supplier of various ammunition to the Armed Forces of the Philippines-ranging from 5.56mm SS109 to 105mm Howitzer rounds and more.​​​​​​​
